The Asia Sustainable Development Network (ASDN) assists NGOs in carrying out sustainable development projects in Asia by providing a forum for the sharing of best practices and lessons learned, and coordinating collaborations.
Many NGOs are already engaged in carrying out effective sustainable development projects in Asia. Particularly successful have been those projects that arise from the local faith and culturally-based values of the communities. However, until now there has been no neutral, trusted network for these NGOs to share what they have learned in their work. Though often sharing similar goals and orientations, these organizations often work in surprising isolation from one another. ASDN grew out of the expressed needs of leaders of these NGOs working in Asia for a network of information and resource sharing of best practices, information, and opportunities for collaboration.
ASDN is comprised of these NGO members and is organized by the Garrison Institute.
